Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before hitting the trail.

It depends on the route. Short treks like Poon Hill require moderate fitness (walking 4-5 hours a day). High-altitude circuits like EBC or Annapurna require excellent cardiovascular fitness and stamina to hike 6-8 hours a day for multiple weeks.

Altitude sickness (AMS) can affect anyone above 2,500m. Our itineraries are meticulously planned with built-in acclimatization days. Our Sherpa guides are trained in wilderness first aid, carry pulse oximeters, and know exactly when to descend if symptoms occur.

No. On our standard and premium treks, porters will carry your main duffel bag (up to 15kg). You only need to carry a small daypack with your daily essentials: water, camera, sunblock, and layers.

You will stay in traditional 'teahouses'. Rooms are basic but clean, usually with twin beds. The dining halls are warm and serve a variety of hearty meals, most famously 'Dal Bhat' (lentil soup and rice) which provides excellent trekking energy.

Yes. While we have fixed departure dates for group treks, we specialize in tailor-made private journeys. You can choose your exact start date and we will adjust the itinerary to your pace.
